The reunion is almost here! You must RSVP by July 1, 2008. The committee is in the final stages of ordering materials and food. We need to know how much to order. If you have not already done so, please go to the RSVP page now. Let us know, even if you will not attend.
Payment Deadline July 5, 2008:
Your payments must be received by July 5, 2008 so that we can pay our vendors. See the RSVP page for payment details. If you pay on the last day, use the Online Payment page (subject to online processing fees).

June 18, 2008:

Our classmate Heather Ann Virta died on June 11, 2008.  A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Stuart Florida.

Committee Meeting
The reunion committee will meet on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. at Todd Thurlow's office to go over the budget and finalize the ticket prices.  Anyone is welcome to attend. See the Events Page for details.

Update 2/4/2008:

Save the date
Our class reunion events will take place on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19, 2008.  Please save the dates.  Some of our classmates are making flight reservations and wanted to get a confirmation of the date.  

We have contracts with Marriott and Finz for our events.  However, we are still making adjustments to our budget and menu selections.  When we have this complete, we will let everyone know the price and start collecting payments.

Hotel Reservations
We have a limited block of rooms available at the Hutchinson Island Marriott Beach Resort & Marina, the location of the Saturday night event. The rooms are $129/night, plus taxes. To get the group rate you must call the reservations desk at 800-775-5936 (or locally at 772-225-3700, ask for reservations).  Make sure you tell them that you are with the MCHS 1988 reunion group.

December 31, 2007:

Our classmate Allison Miraglia-Wilson died on December 20, 2007.  A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Stuart.

Update 11/8/2007:

We emailed an anouncement to registered classmates regarding the Thanksgiving weekend gathering.  Please see details on the Events page and RSVP.

Update 10/26/2007:
The committee is still focusing of the weekend of July 19, 2008. We will let everyone know when contracts are set and the date is finalized. The Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort is looking good for the Saturday night main event. However, we need to work out prices before signing a contract. 

Please let us know what you are willing to spend by voting on the poll page. We want this to be an event for everyone. We hope to hold a block of rooms at Marriott for $129/night, plus taxes.

The following is a possible schedule of events:

Friday night cocktail reception
     - possibly at Finz    (River Palms did not work out)
          7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. - Cash bar and very light hors
          d'oeuvres in a private room upstairs
          9:30 p.m. - close - Go downstairs to the bar. They have a band
          every Friday night
          You could eat dinner there on your own before or after the
Saturday Pool Party
     - possibly at Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort hotel pool or the
       Marriott Resort Sandpiper Pool next to the beach
          11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
          Children welcome
Saturday Main Dinner Event
     - at the Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort with a buffet dinner and 
Sunday Do It Yourself Day
     - several people have expressed interest in informally meeting at the
        Sand Bar, B.Y.O.B.  (bring your own boat, or find someone with
        a boat).
We will keep you posted if any of this will be possible within a reasonable budget. Members of the committee will continue to meet on an as-needed basis. Let us know if you can help out!
We would like to have gathering with spouses and significant others (not a meeting) next month, perhaps at Carson's Tavern (the old Carmody's) during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We will let you know.
